So to my watchers here (whom I know are not numerous (which makes it more personal :3)), something you might not know but do now is that :iconcaptainvideo: and I now have a Twitter feed!  [link] Here's the link. Ask us about any and everything; we're trying to do as much as we can to get our names exposed.

We also have a listing on Topwebcomics.com - if you're registered on that site you can vote for us here: [link] !

Lastly, I've submitted us to Stumbleupon - if any of you use that service, even if you never want to go back to the site again, it'd be doing us a huge favor if you give our page a like. More positive feedback is more exposure is more readers is more ... good-ness!!

I'm not big on self-promotion, but I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't alert all my accounts of this new information at least ONCE. So forgive me for the shameless self-promotion, and thank you in advance to those of you who help to support us in some way.

You can always catch the latest page of Our World at [link] ! Have a good wednesday!! I wish I could, but I have to walk to work and it's blizzarding outside. Yaaay Canada!

Hey there, everybody!

I know this is probably not gonna get much attention, but... well, my money situation is kinda tight for this upcoming month. I have savings, but I need those to pay for whatever my student loan doesn't cover, in first year school expenses. Assuming I get in. And my job has cut me down to about 16 hours a week, which is NOT bringing in the kind of money I'd like right now.

Anyways, I haven't ever done it before and I don't really have enough of a following yet for it to be anything substantial, but for those of you who are interested (or know somebody that would be) I am opening myself to commissions. May as well make some good use of this time.

I don't a system or a price guide set out or anything like that, so if anybody is interested please send me an email or a message, and we'll discuss what it is you want done, and a pricing for it! Tell your friends!

So how's it going, folks? Anybody out there listening? :3

I suppose I have a *bit* of news. The Universe (hate that bitch) decided to throw me some curveballs this week.

: Random mystery pain in my right thumb knuckle (causing me serious worry - I'm an artist and a gamer, and I need that thumb for both) and sliced my left one open at work.

: Resurgence of a crippling gut pain that comes and goes before I can get to a doctor about it.

: The need to learn two new programs for inking and coloring Our World pages (gotta make them in higher resolution to be ready for print, if we ever use the option)

: Assignment of more traditional art projects, line drawings and figure drawings, by my art professor uncle to put into my application portfolio for a digital arts school.

: And 40 hours of work!

Yaaay busyness. Things are moving though. I've inked an entire page in a trial version of Manga Studio with great results, and I'm trying my hand at Photoshop for coloring it. Slowly. Tomorrow I'll get more done on a line drawing of a plant, and on the weekend I'll attempt a figure drawing or portraiture peice. Thumb pain still hasn't gone away yet though, and it's been 4 days...

Anyways! THere's my random blurb for February 10th. Hope you enjoyed reading about my life. Thanks!

So we got a working forum up as well now for Our World! Everything is falling into place. *tents fingers* You can register over at [link]

Seriously though, I'm stoked about it. Which is great, because there's a lot of things I am NOT stoked about these days, such as how I spent $2200 in my first month of living in Edmonton. How did that happen?! :X I really gotta start watching my account a little more closely. No more organic food for me, not till I'm making some moolah.

"Our World" is now live and running. You can see it here: [link]

Only thing I have to apologize for is the lack of a working forum just yet, but don't worry! It's coming soon!

People who are of my very small watcher list! Hopefully you will be joined by a few more people soon.

The website for Our World is nearing completion. I gained access to the hosting server earlier this week and have been typing furiously at editing the templates given to me by ComicCMS and molding them into something more akin to the site I designed a few months ago myself. I hve a few more glaring problems that need to be address, but it's getting harder and harder to find things to change - so I'd like your feedback.

First off, DO NOT SPREAD THIS AROUND please!! I don't want the site made openly public until it's finished, so people don't make a judgement on it before then. That being said, feel free to show it to a trusted friend or two and direct them to this journal entry for commentary as well. Any help would be appreciated on how I can make the site better.

Keep in mind though that this is my first website design ever, and I am by no means a professional. I'm also limited in what I can do by comicCMS's programming, though I won't know exactly what those limitations ARE until I try to test them. Please give some feedback and suggestions, but also know that I'm aiming fairly basic setup for at least the first year or so.

Anything that has to do with color-coordination, or things that seem to stand out from the rest of the site (in a bad way) or look like they don't fit, broken links, etc. All suggestions are valued. It's an open-beta of the site! Though you can ignore the news post I entered on the website itself, that's just to turn away random comers from the far corners of the internet.

Alrighty, so! Here's an update, since I haven't given one in forever.

Yesterday I had a lot of work literally appear out of nowhere. That's because two days ago, I both decided I was going to try to get away from simple unskilled labor jobs and into something where I can actually develop my skills and talents, as well as gained access to my host site and had the FTP protocol set up.

This means, in order:

I get to do all kinds of research into artistic/animation schools, careers, and portfolios, in addition to likely having to create a lot of new work in order to fill up a portfolio of my own to present to these things in the upcoming years. This is not a task that's going to be done in a week, however the full weight of it smacked me in the face yesterday and it was a bit overwhelming.

Secondly, I need to learn how to use 3 different programs (Filezilla, ComicCMS, and the Simple Machines forum software) in order to get my entire website online and functioning. I've learned the BARE basics of Filezilla and comicCMS, and have a few pages legitimately online now, though I need to do a lot of editing in ComicCMS's php scripts in order to make the pages look the way I want them instead of the cookie cutter base they provide. Once I understand it all, I have to also teach it to my writer, so he can take over some of the work.

This is in addition to continuing to look for a job NOW so I can pay the bills, my continued comic pages work, and on top of all that, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm strikes for real next week.

Whoooole lotta stuff to do... but I'm glad for it, from a distant perspective. Lots to do means lots of progress and managing my time effectively. From a close-up perspective though, this is gonna be a bit of a drag. Wish me luck!

Life is crawling right now. A bunch of things that should have happened in regards to a move to a new city didn't, and I'm waiting on other people to contact me right now. People that are very very busy. ><

As for the comic, we're up to a pretty significant buffer zone of comics, but now we have a new obstacle to overcome. In the interests of using a personal friend's server and cutting down on web hosting costs, we need to design our own website from the ground up. Neither me nor CV understands anything moer than basic html code. Oigh, this is gonna take some time.

I did find a spetacular online school site that has very easy to understand tutorials about HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, and javascript if we need it. All of these are things we're going to need to understand in order to make a working website. Howver, unlike the javascript course I took in university, this real-world application isn't going to have closed-book tests or requirements to make a tic tac toe game out of javascript and stuff that nobody would ever need. I also have references to all the code that's possible to put in. So it shouldn't take TOO too much time, and the tutorials are pretty short so it doesn't seem overly tedious either.

Progress is still being made!!

So me and CV have decided to start over from page 1. Fresh intro. For those that saw the first 3 pages in my gallery, they'll be different. I wasn't exactly stoked about having to restart for the second time, but... I have to say I am in support of it now that we've gone through a few pages. This new opening is much more interesting, and I've picked up a few more techniques to make the drawing process go a little quicker. My backgrounds still need work but agh, I'll get better with time.

On the non-art front. I'm up to Rubicante in the DS FF4 remake. I also want to get a 3DS when they come out. 3D! No glasses! YEEEE!

So I'm touching up pages 1-3, since I've gone back to cel shading with page 4. I've also got pages 5-6 done, working on P7 as well. A title has been settled on and I also have finishing up the logo on my to-do list. And the best of all is I have another writer! This is hopefully gonna be a lot better setup than with my last buddy. I'm very happy with it so far.

On a non-art related note, I experienced a first last night: walking out on a job! Yeah that wasn't fun, but at the same time I felt kind of liberated for it. I spent the night hanging out with a couple very good friends, we wandered, got coffee, ate shitty campbell's soup and watched Samurai Jack. Pretty awesome night overall. Worst part is gonna be breaking the news to my parents, and just because I know the lecture I'm going to get for it. -.- For the record, I turned 21 this past saturday, and I am only still living here because it's dirt cheap while I save for the move to Vancouver.

So to anybody that read the last one, my writer has gone out. It was a buddy of mine and he admitted that he relly only volunteered as a "He's in a jam, I'll help out" kinda deal. However, anybody that agrees to write for me, has to be actually interested and excited about contributing to a long-running project, and I'd rather write it myself, go solo for a while than have to "settle" for somebody less than that. I still love the guy, this just isn't something that was for him.

So I've got an outline for the first arc of my comic. Page 1 is completed, page 2 is half done, page 3 is sketched. I was going to post up the intro here on DA, but I'm not sure if I should now or if I should hold onto it until I get it online. then again, I don't exactly have many watchers... for those few that ARE watching me :P I'd like your opinion. Do you wanna see the first few as I get them done, or should I save them for when I get online? (It could be a bit of a wait - I wanna get the whole first arc done as buffers, and it's a good 25 pages long. If I go for a once-per-week update schedule, that's a half year done and ready.)

Anyways. I've also been putting in a lot of time to a pet project over on KB, being spearheaded by :iconeradose:. I won't say anything beyond that it's a video game based off of one of his fanfics about LL. If you're interested, go check it out on the KB forums!

Also, :iconavencri: recently did a commission for me. It's now my deviantID and I love it. So I's happy. :D

So yeah, now that the snow's finally (ALMOST) gone, I'm feeling the creative flow again. I've already got another character created and teh base for another. But all these characters don't mean shit if I don't have the comic actually MOVING.

So I got a writer. I'm redoing pages 1-4, and thus have uploaded the original 4 here to deviant. Hopefully now things will actually get to happen with this project, and it'll become more than a rarely looked-at time killer!!

I'm like. Hung over. Again. This week has been a bit of a bender for me. Not having a drunk night for 6 months + and then 4 nights in a row is... eh not so much for me.
On the plus side, it's also been a phenomenal week for me business-wise! I do not want to work tonight, as it's a UFC night and thus it will be busier, and then mucho cleaning tomorrow. Ugh.

Art-wise (since that's all you guys care about :P) I am working on a commission right now. I'll get it up once it's finished, but the first step is to get the girl to model the pose for me. I think my dry spell might be coming to an end.

So, yeah! After like, years of knowing about this site, occasionally browsing, I've finally broken down and actually made an account for myself. And now I'm starting to make entries. :D

So I guess I'll write a lil' bit about me. I'm 20, I'm an albertan. I've been messing around with drawing since I was a little kid, mostly copy work then, blowing things up size-wise. Stopped in high school, took an art class in grade 12, loved it, did a year of visual art studies at the University of Alberta. Mostly my inspiration to draw though came from webcomics.

I loooooves me some webcomics, and so now I've started an attempt at my own. These characters are actually my third attempt at a webcomic. First was an utter failure, both art and story. Second was less fail but still had 0 preperation for it. This time I've got plans and history and backstories and a direction I want it to go in, and my art has gotten a lot better too. I only wish I could find a writer to partner with, cause I'm so bad at fabricating conflict and page to page dialogue. D:

I've been drawing anthro art for only about 6 months now, and my basic 4 characters (As well as some I may come up with later) actually started as human, and just kind of 'evolved'. Inspiration to do this came largely from Las Lindas, cause Chalo does an awesome job of it. And I've really been likin' it.

Yeah! That's all I can come up with for right now. Enjoy the few peices I have uploaded thus far!
